Attorney-at-law Paavo Koch obtained his Master’s degree in law from the University of Tartu in 2000. He completed a second Bachelor’s degree (this time in psychology) at the same university in 2014. He has been a member of the Estonian Bar Association since 2000.

Paavo has been providing legal assistance since 1997 and has extensive experience in consulting both Estonian and foreign clients on business-related issues. He advises clients primarily on court proceedings, corporate law, real estate development issues (construction, planning and funding), financial law (e.g. obtaining operating licences for credit institutions) and data protection issues (e.g. defamation and disputes regarding the abuse of personal data).

Paavo has represented clients in several ground-breaking cases in arbitration courts in Estonia and abroad and has worked as an arbitrator at the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Court of Arbitration. He is a member of the Estonian Academic Law Society and Estonian Business Angels Network.

Attorney-at-law Kalev Aavik obtained his Master´s degree in law from the University of Tartu in 2000. In 2013, Kalev obtained an additional Master’s degree in European Union and International Law from the Riga Graduate School of Law. Kalev has been a member of the Estonian Bar Association since 2001.

Kalev’s main field of practice is litigation. His experience includes coordination of the activities of an international team of lawyers in a nearly 10-year legal dispute involving several jurisdictions and dozens of cases concerning the control over a shopping centre worth more than EUR 150 million.

Kalev advises and represents clients from both private and public sector (local governments, state agencies) and in both private and public law, especially in areas where freedom of enterprise encounters public law restrictions, such as construction and planning law, environmental law and operating licences. Kalev has unique experience in the field of waste law, where he has prepared model documents for local governments and their associations, helped to establish producer responsibility organizations and local government cooperation organizations, and participated in analysing and drafting proposals related to the transposition of relevant EU directives into Estonian law for more than 15 years.

Attorney Annely Sepp completed her Master’s degree in law at the University of Tartu in 2014 and has been a member of the Estonian Bar Association since the same year. During spring semester 2013 she studied as an exchange studentin the Department of Law of St Petersburg State University in Russia.

Annely mostly advises clients on issues related to commercial and property (incl. intellectual property) law, law of obligations and insolvency. She also represents clients in civil and administrative disputes in courts and before extra-judicial dispute resolution bodies. Among other things, she has successfully represented credit institutions, companies and individuals in disputes related to contract law, board member liability, reorganisation proceedings, defamation and personal data protection.

Annely provides legal assistance in Estonian, English and (to a lesser extent) Russian.

Lawyer Ivo Kallas has had a legal career of more than 16 years and has participated in more than 700 court hearings. The long-term experience provides him with excellent prerequisites for the successful resolution of disputes and enables him to anticipate potential dangerous situations before they arise.

Ivo obtained a degree equivalent to a master’s degree in law in 2004 and has been a member of the Estonian Bar Association since 2012. He has given lectures on labour law, construction law and board member liability and is the author of the book “Current Problems in Personnel Work”.
